UPDATE ON FR. MIKE:
Father Mike is still in the Beverly Skilled Nursing Facility, but he has
moved from room 303 to room 305. His
new telephone # is (404) 250-8338. He
is doing a terrific job healing, he is in good spirits and he loves visitors.
VARENYKY/PYROHY: The Sisterhood of Mother of God
Ukrainian Catholic Church is selling varenyky/pyrohy for $7.50 for one dozen
and a half. We ask that the parishioners support our varenyky/pyrohy fund by
either making varenyky/pyrohy in our hall or by donating money for the
materials to make varenyky/pyrohy. We
also ask that you buy the varenyky/pyrohy and tell your neighbors about our
project. For more information call Krys
Kopelakis 770-483-3309 or Oksana Foltyn 678-296-9757.
ADULT EDUCATION AND CATECHESIS- On Tuesday
nights from 7-9 p.m. we will be having informal discussions in the Catacomb
Lounge about aspects of the Catholic Faith as it is lived and prayed in the
Byzantine-Slavonic East. Topics that
will be covered are: The Great Fast, the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom,
the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts and the Prayer of the Heart. It is wise to bring a Bible.
SOROKOUSTY REMINDER-
Remember that on Saturdays during Great Lent it is our practice to
remember the dead in a special way. Please
feel free to submit lists of the names of your deceased loved ones to be
remembered during the Saturday services. The Saturdays that are designated as
All Souls Saturdays are 6, 13 and 20 March.
EASTER DUTY—The Church requires that every Catholic
receive the Mysteries of Repentance and Eucharist at least once a year, during
the Lenten/Easter season. Confessions
are heard before liturgies, and the priests are available by appointment.
